Farmers Markets are great places for Hot Jazz

 

Monterey Hot Jazz Society September 11, 2022

Our performance was well received. In their Hot Jazz newsletter they wrote:

"... we sure had a good time at our September dance with music provided by the Plateau Jazz Band from Santa Cruz. Philip Rice brought his band ready to perform and perform they did – keeping folks out on the dance floor with lots of good music, including some tunes you don’t hear very often. If you weren’t there, you missed a really good time – great job Plateau!"

Ella's at the Airport on Sunday September 4 6-8 pm

We will be returning to the newly remodeled Ella's at the Airport on Sunday September 4th from 6-8pm. We have some great new songs (new to us, but written in the 1920-30s) that we know you will enjoy. Same great ambience and service, new management and food choices. See you there.

Big Basin Winery August 12, 2022 5:30pm

 Hi everyone,

We have been playing a few private parties and at the farmer's market, and I have been remiss in publishing those gigs. We are working on establishing a few regular, monthly gigs again, and will let you know when those are set up. Our next public gig is at the Big Basin Winery on August 12th, 2022 from 5:30 to 9pm. It is very close to the recently reopened Big Basin State Park. Reservations are required to visit the park and encouraged at the winery, so consider reserving a hike at Big Basin and a table at the winery. The next opportunity to hear us play will be on September 4th at Chielo's (formerly Ella's at the Airport) in 100 Aviation Way Watsonville. More information to come about this event soon. Then on September 11 we will be playing for the Hot Jazz Society at the Elks Lodge in Monterey. More info about that event also coming soon.

We are still playing......

Things have slowed down because of the pandemic, but we are still playing our New Orleans influenced, Prohibition era jazz music. The next performance by The Plateau Jazz Band will be on Sunday, February 6, 2022, from 10-12 noon, at the Live Oak Farmers Market, East Cliff Dr. & 15th Ave. in Santa Cruz.

We will be performing at the Farmers' Market at the East Cliff Shopping Village in Santa Cruz on Sunday August 1 and September 19, 2021 from 10-noon and maybe a bit longer if we are having fun. See you there!
